The Safe Center is excited to announce that CAPS programming has joined The Safe Center Education department!
Child Abuse Prevention Services (CAPS) is now CAPS at The Safe Center.
CAPS at The Safe Center is dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect, bullying, and cyber-bullying. CAPS at the Safe Center utilizes volunteers that work directly with children and youth in Nassau and Suffolk elementary, middle and high schools.
CAPS at The Safe Center’s programs have reached over one million Long Island students, parents, educators, professionals and concerned community through education and awareness programs.
Thousands more call upon CAPS at The Safe Center as an expert resource on bullying/cyber-bullying, child abuse prevention, internet safety, interpersonal violence, and sexual violence prevention.
Our Bullying Helpline receives hundreds of calls and emails each year from children and parents looking for advice about bullying and abuse.
As bullying, child abuse and neglect continue to take a toll on our youth and impact society, we ask you to join us as volunteers, community partners, sponsors and allies in pursuit of our goal: working together to keep every child safe from harm.
