Rape & Sexual Assault

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Rape and sexual assault survivors face many decisions in the hours, days, months and years following the assault. Sexual assault service providers do not make decisions for survivors but help them think about options and make choices. Both men and women can be victims of rape and sexual assault and both face many of the same recovery issues, as well as issues that are specific to men. Rape and sexual assault occurs across all communities, regardless of race, gender, sexual preference, age, religion, cultural heritage, and social or economic status.

The rape and sexual assault department at The Safe Center offers free individual and group counseling to all survivors of sexual assault. All Genders are Welcome. For information about our groups please call our hotline at 516-542-0404.
